ABOUT OUR FABRICS

Finishing detail on leggings

You may or may not know that fabrics are complicated. And in these times of limited Canadian suppliers, it is increasingly challenging to find a reliable, consistent fabric supplier to work with. Having said that, we have found just such a company in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. We will graciously admit that they make us look (and feel) so good because of the quality of the fabrics they produce. And I don’t just mean they have a warehouse of fabric shipped to them from overseas, I mean they actually make their fabrics. They take the raw fibres and they work their magic and they manage to produce a fabric that is so soft you will feel naked when you wear clothing made of it. Sounds a bit over the top, I know, but it is true.

In the last few years, there has been a big push toward Eco-Friendly fabrics, and we, like almost everyone else, eagerly jumped on that bandwagon. Now, as it turns out, and thanks to the Federal Government’s Competition Bureau, we have discovered that all things Eco are not created equal. Like I said, fabric is complicated. This debate has only just begun, but let’s just say not everyone was telling us little guys the truth.
